Business Pick-up Services are available Monday through Friday. A California Recycles team member will manage the safe removal of your electronics. California Recycles is registered and licensed by the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) and Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) as an Approved Collector of Electronic Waste pursuant to
the Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003.

Hard Disk Erasure & Destruction

To protect your confidential information, California Recycles offers hard
disk erasure and destruction. To protect your confidential information, California Recycles offers hard disk erasure and destruction. When ever possible we try to put newer computers back in use. If we can put the computer back in use we use the three-pass system that meets US Department of Defense disk sanitation standards (DoD 5220.22-M) and complies with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. If we are unable to put the computer back in use the hard drive is removed and sent to a certified hard disk destructor where the hard disk is shredded. We also can arrange for hard drive destruction while you watch.

Cell Phone Erasure

To protect your company’s confidential information, California Recycles offers cell phone erasure service. This process will erase all phone numbers, names and any other information in your cell phone to give you added peace of mind. In order to be erased, phones must have some power available (either in the battery or with a power adapter).
